I like it. You bring some more feminity to her. I don't actually have the game (Dragon age 2, I'd want to, but can't) but when I first stumbled upon her picture, where there was only her face I thought: "is this a woman or a man?". I do always love the female warriors and the contrast it creates.
Her expression seems, to me at least, somehow fragile, yet at the same time defiant and tough.
This is so good that I obsess over the little details. I'm going mad trying to figure out that shield. It's not Ser Wesley's, or The Shield of the Knight herself. Which one had that green tinge...? I keep expecting it to be meaningful, lol. Would serve me right if it was a DLC thing, I've got none but the Emporium. I also really love the armour! She makes leather look tougher than plate.
I actually happen to be a fan of Aveline. She's a strong female character who can kick your butt, and she's pleasant looking without massive cleavage on parade. I mean, nothing against cleavage, but too much of any one thing ...
She doesn't get enough respect from the fanbase, I think. I thought she and Donnic were really cute. ^^
Great pose and I love the amount of details on her armor and clothes, even the shine of the sword. The pink fingernails is my favourite part though, it's a charming detail. Bit like she's saying: "Yeah, I can tank an ogre. So what? I still want to be pretty!"
But I think it would just go the other way around. "Ah! See, that's why I went for Alistair over Zev" or "Zev, you're all talk and no show," aaaand we're all back at square one. I'm just guessing... I haven't mustered enough courage to try.
Aveline! Oh, I loved that story -- I went back to Leliana over and over to hear it. And this is just beautiful -- I adore her stalwart expression. You made her both tough and feminine. That's very diffucult, and I applaud you.
