DAO: Fan Comic Page 126

Description

I was contemplating on skipping the next few pages to speed things up because of the... not so subtle... "Damn it woman? Where is Zevran?!" comments. But after some thought, I think it's safe to say that there are some folks who are still interested in reading my story... I think? Hello? :XD: I know you're there. :)

I have to remind myself that I should keep true to my inner muse and listen to her instincts. I'm not really great at writing fluffy stories, and I can't handle reading too much of it either. If I were to create an epic Dragon Age fanfiction of just Zev and Nara bickering and schmoo schmooing each other, I'd never forgive myself. So... I'm really sorry it's taking so long to get to the juicy bits! I'll get there, but in my own time.

This is a story of my PC, Nara, the Dalish elf. Her adventures may or may not exactly follow the game's timeline, story and/or outcomes.

Dragon Age: Origins and its characters belong to Bioware Corp. I'm just an obsessed fan creating comics to show my love for this game. This is purely just for fun. Dragon Age: Origins and its characters © Bioware

Art Notes:
Trying to be more invested in drawing backgrounds in this page. I don't want to rely too much on texture images. I chose a softer brush for the backgrounds. Found that the hard round brush I usually use for inking to be too harsh and unforgiving, making my backgrounds very flat. Also, I'm not a fan of using the pen tool and shift key for drawing straight lines. Using guides, all lines were drawn freehand. I like the more organic feel it has.

Definitely always listen to your gut over taking fan input, at least insofar as the directions you want to take your story in and how you want to tell it. You have especially good instincts, definitely honor them and the people who really like your work will be happier for it.

I am writing all of these comments so, so much later lol. Anything I say is basically irrelevant at this point, but despite the story being from years back, I'm having so much fun with it here and now that I wanna engage anyway! Thanks for making this. It's been such a fun way to spend a lazy weekend day.
